File this under ideas so simple they make you hit your head and say d’oh!

Apartment Therapy has a story today about an invention that is about to revolutionize your lives, my apron wearing friends. Look, it’s an apron…and a towel…together…with a zipper so you can zip off the dirty part!!! Cool!
Dollhouse for the kid on the go

Back in the olden days my best friend and I used to cart around our Sylvanian Families everywhere we went. We would have gone gaga for this awesome “mobile home”. Although it does appear to be big mean brother crushable it could at least stand a season or two of play, can be decorated with paints and markers, and would be able to be recycled once the fun was done. What an ingenious idea!
Can be purchased online at Tiny Dodo.
Affordable gifts I plan on giving part one

These wooden holiday ornaments from the sub-studio design store are a cool and most importantly very inexpensive little gift to give this year. You can’t beat that!
Another cool S. African Etsy seller

Apartment Therapy had a link to Skinnylaminx’s Etsy page today and I am so glad I followed that link…look at these awesome tote bags and tea towels…those are two things that I surely need more of (just don’t ask my husband!).

Art Department gets an A+

Art Department is always one of my favorite booths at the NYIGF, they are so friendly, and their products are seriously smile inducing. I loved the addition of wreaths to their lineup, as well as the flower arrangements in vases. Those would be a very cheery addition to my new desk!
You can order right from the company via their website www.artdep.com
Back to school in style

Perhaps this post is a week or so late, but I am thinking that these Leather bound dictionarys from thisisauto.com seem like the most perfect gift for a new student to begin their collegiate adventures. In addition to being thoughtful, practical and stylishly colored, this is a gift that a student can keep and use forever.
Diorama-rama
How cool are these little pop up paper dioramas available at Brooklyn 5 and 10 ? Any of my friends reading out there get ready, you will be receiving one of these for Christmas this year…it’s a promise.
Moma catalog coolness alert!

My boss here at the new office just got a Moma Store fall catalog, and before I delivered it to him I snuck a little peek. Boy am I glad I did, there is a bunch of stuff (-ing) that needs to be mentioned within it’s glossy pages.
Check out these ramen sporks, Michael Graves designed Witherspoon watches, Issey Miyake Bilbao tote, and Sabuda pop up cake cards.
