Coolest crochet ever.

Jackpot! Charts are…errr…off the charts on the hipness scale when it comes to decorating these days, but look what I found on the Wunderkammer Etsy store…a crocheted version of a chart of 11 underwater specimens including squid, kelp, nautilus and sand dollars. How cool is that? You can also buy patterns to make your own crocheted coral and octopi. Ooh, just when I was looking for a yarn project too.
A few new wants from Rare Device
I love Rare Device, they do a great job of supplying me with ideas of stuff that I didn’t know that I needed like the following:

cool handled jars

anatomically correct heart locket

custom birch mugs
Open one for me please!

Design Sponge wrote up these super cool bottle openers today, and as though you don’t all look at her site anyhow I thought I’d share her great find with you. As my husband Riley always says, you can’t have too many bottle openers in your home, or on your person. He has bottle openers on his shoes, belt buckle and keychain and is a firm believer that if you leave the house with less than three ways to open a bottle on your person you may be underprepared in case of beer emergency. Words to live by.
Sale alert

I have been seriously dying for these boots from Cydwoq ever since I spotted them a couple of years ago in their NY shop. They have a decidedly little orphan Annie feel to them that to girls from my generation is difficult to resist. They are now on sale from Brooklyn boutique Diana Kane. Ok, maybe they aren’t the springyest boots on the market right now, but come on! These babies are all handmade vegy tan leather, and will have you tromping around the lower east side of NYC singing “dumb dog why are you following me” in no time.
Bulls of steel (or is it silver?)

This super groovy bull’s head necklace from Artstarphilly is my jewelry pine of the day. I would wear that on days like today, when I needed to be a little more bull headed about what I am doing and not so darned wishy washy. Power of the bull activate!
Yum-o

It appears I am not the only one who hates the nasty pasty chocolate that easter bunnies are usually made of, but would feel terribly disappointed if I did not receive one in my easter basket. Well, here’s a nice alternative…the Forever Bunny. FBs are made from plaster and are painted up to look deliciously chocolatey. They are available from the Small Stump store on Etsy.

I am a home-maker now

Tis a lovely thing, this shelf with it’s built in beaker vases. I sort of want it for my living room, but seems like something that would be fairly easy to make. What do you think? Better question perhaps is would my paperboard wall support it? Things that make you go hmmm…

Herion is addictive
![]()
I had the good fortune of meeting the people behind the brand Herion this past week, and I have to say that I love their prints so much! Just wait until you see the line that they have coming out…unfortunate name for google searching though. Try it and you’ll see what I mean!
Where oh where did the author go?
Hello out there in bloggy land, I am still alive and moderately well…thank goodness.
I am writing to you from a borrowed computer right now, as my work computer has been disconnected and will not be back up and running for a bit of time still. I will be working from home for the next couple of weeks at least, so I hope to have lots of time to work on some quality goodies for you to read. Yea!
